基于P2P模式的新型視頻點(diǎn)播系統(tǒng)

對(duì)擴(kuò)展視頻點(diǎn)播系統(tǒng)服務(wù)能力進(jìn)行了研究。在所提出的ContribVoD 系統(tǒng)中，
通過(guò)用戶相互共享各自擁有的視頻數(shù)據(jù)，使服務(wù)器不再是視頻數(shù)據(jù)的唯一來(lái)源，從而可分散視頻服務(wù)器的負(fù)擔(dān)，提高系統(tǒng)的服務(wù)能力。系統(tǒng)通過(guò)優(yōu)化查詢、數(shù)據(jù)傳輸動(dòng)態(tài)監(jiān)控及初始緩沖來(lái)保證用戶的播放質(zhì)量，同時(shí)利用種子選擇策略來(lái)盡量避免遠(yuǎn)程數(shù)據(jù)傳輸，減小主干網(wǎng)絡(luò)的負(fù)擔(dān)。仿真實(shí)驗(yàn)顯示，系統(tǒng)的服務(wù)能力比基于C/S 模式的視頻點(diǎn)播系統(tǒng)有顯著提高。

Abstract:ContribVoD is a p2p approach to extend the ability of Video on Demand systems
to serve more users. In the proposed system users share with each other the media data obtained and the media server is no longer the only source to get data from, thereby, the load on the media server could be greatly alleviated and the overall system capacity increases and more users could be served. ContribVoD introduces efficient searching, data transfer dynamically monitoring and initial buffering to maintain a high quality of playback. Its provider selection policy helps to reduce the load of the underlying network by avoiding remote data transfer. Simulation results show that ContribVoD could greatly outperform the traditional C/S based VoD systems with respect to the amount of users could be served.
